Overview
Visual Studio 97 Service Pack 3 (for Visual Basic) is an upgrade patch for Microsoft Visual Basic 5.0. This service pack contains all the updates contained in Service Packs 1 and 2, plus it adds support creating apartment-model, thread-safe ActiveX Controls and DLLs that leverage IE 4.0's multi-threaded user interface. It also contains support for creating custom applications with multi-threaded and asynchronous user-interfaces, using designers like the UserConnection designer in multi-threaded components, and resolves issues with the development environment, the Printer object and the Internet Transfer control.
